Sign This Petition

I just signed a petition demanding that Congress lift the federal ban on offshore drilling immediately before they take their month-long summer break. Members of Congress are doing nothing while gas prices soar. Let’s put their feet to the fire! Join me in signing here:

First Post From iPhone App

So I just downloaded the wordpress app for my iPhone and so far so good. Before j could actually log into my wordpress account and post, review, delete… etc but now I can bypass most all the tediousness of opening safari, loading corydonrogers.com and then navigating throgh the site on a 3″ screen. Now I just tap the little wordless icon and blamo there are my blogs. Once I am in I can my last several posts, write a new one or to some other things.

All this to say that I really dont have an excuse not to blog anymore. I can’t believe I ever lived without this damn phone.

For a few months I have been thinking, praying and talking with a few people about possibly starting a new website / blog. My desire was to make it just a side project for me and rather than post my political rants on my page to post them on a separate site. After talking to a few people I realized that I wasn’t the only one who was looking for a place to voice their opinion and several people have expressed to me they would like to be able to blog about current (political, social, economic, environmental, spiritual) events but really didn’t have the time or know how to start and maintain their own blog/site.

I decided I would start a site dedicated to those individuals who wanted to rant and rave like I do but just don’t have the forum in which to do so. I have started centerRIGHT.com — it isn’t much to look at right now but it is slowly starting to come together. As you can tell by the name it is going to be targeted to those who think themselves to be Centre Right aka conservative. This doesn’t mean you have to be a republican to contribute or get some useful info… I am actually hoping there is a variety of people from all different political parties who visit and contribute… they key to it is that you need to be more to the right or center than the left.

My goal is to have the site fully functional by August 1st. It is quite a bit of work getting this all put together but I believe it will be worth it. If you would like to become a contributor, blogger, editor.. or can help in any other way please visit the site centeRIGHT.com and fill out the contributor application by clicking here.

If you have any questions please let me know — Thanks for your support!

texasconservative.com — Update #1

I was unsuccessful in my attempt to contact the listed owner of the site. I called and it ended up going to a fax line. I emailed and  got a user doesn’t exist. And, finally, looked up the address listed on Google– It appears the address listed is in a strip mall in south Austin.

I have sent an email to johnkerry.com’s web admin to find out more info. If I don’t hear anything from the web admin tomorrow I plan on calling the campaign HQ in Boston.

More to come.

texasconservative.com

Filed under: Blog — Cory @ 11:45 pm

So I was thinking about starting a blog site and thought about registering www.texasconservative.com. I went to register the side and my my registry company let me know that name was already taken so I decided to go check out the site.

Once the site loaded this is what I found:
not what I would consider a conservative

Part of me finds this totally disgusting but there is a part of me which gets a good laugh out of it. When I think of Texas Conservative – well John Kerry is about the last person I think of.

After digging a little I have found the site is registered to a company based in Austin.

Gramm Wasn’t Too Far Off

I find it really interesting that people were so upset by the recent comments of fmr Sen. Phil Gramm. I do think times are difficult and if your family is like mine we are making every penny count but we are by no means asking the government what they are going to do about it. I don’t think we are in an A-OK economy right now but we are by no means on the verge of a depression.

Check out this report from ABC news on how Gramm’s comments were more accurate than people are willing to admit. ‘Nation of Whiners’ Could Have Credence

help keep Hills from going bankrupt

Don’t miss out on your opportunity to show your support for Barack… by supporting Hillary Clinton?

Has Barack really got so many people bamboozled that they not only will go online and donate money to his campaign but also donate to help pay off Hill’s debt… say it isn’t so. I find it rather funny she wanted to become president so badly she would put herself into debt to do so.

At the end of June all two presumptive nominees and all the other presidential candidates had spent an enormous $900M. Yes that is 100M short of a Billion. Just think of all the programs that could be funded with that money. Another way to think about how much money $900 million dollars is — each US citizen (approx 301 million) could have an extra $3.00 in their pocket.
